Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar

SLA cited Bethesda’s solid emphasis on community building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its strategy the succeeding edge. The first floor will feature 10 F&B offerings, whilst the second floor will house a gym by Limitless, a wellness facility in collaboration with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working room. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell is on the third level.

A public tender to rent the real estate, now managed by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the quality of the proposed idea, and SLA encouraged prospective buyers to think about fresh lifestyle ideas.

Kada at Maxwell will supply a range of spaces, involving en suite studios and 2- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a completely set up kitchenette. Visitors can book spaces on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month option even available.

The flexible living space lies within a maintained 1920s colonial building. The three-storey building, designed by the architectural business Swan & Maclaren, was one of the oldest modernist structures in Singapore. It was built to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.

“By mixing modern benefits with the ageless beauty of a heritage building, we’re offering guests an unique lifestyle journey that goes beyond conventional lodging,” includes Wong.

The site was granted to Bethesda Medical, that sent a monthly rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest bid cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).

Habyt has launched a brand-new accomodation space at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship space for the operator’s Habyt Flex design, that represents a strategic growing of the company’s product offerings beyond extensive co-living.

Wong says Habyt Kada at Maxwell represents the company’s commitment to redefining flexible living in Singapore and notes its shift towards the upcoming step of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room prices at Kada at Maxwell will begin at $180 per night.

In August, Habyt Asia Pacific chief executive officer Jonathan Wong indicated that the company was trying to include even more short-term living selections to its local listing. The first properties under the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both launched in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Property by Habyt.

Residents of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy infinite and free access to the property’s health and wellness amenities, like the performance health club, cold plunge, infrared saunas, jacuzzis and foot baths.
