CBRE acquires Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm Paia Consulting
In June, United Overseas Bank and Enterprise Singapore started a sustainability advising programme for SMEs, in collaboration with Paia Consulting, CDP, Convene ESG, M1, PwC Singapore and TÜV SÜD.
In August 2023, Keppel worked with Bennett Wong, previous principal professional at Paia Consulting, to become its group sustainability top administrator. Wong left in July to join professional services company RSM.
David Fogarty, that has led CBRE’s ESG Consulting and Sustainability Services team in Asia from 2022, will lead the expanded staff at Paia from CBRE.
Anshuman Magazine, CBRE consultatory department head, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa, mentions the procurement will have an effect throughout the APAC area. “The better level of understanding and interest in sustainability is increasing among businesses, and increasing laws will certainly give a motivation for them to build sustainability strategies and to establish progress on their implementation.”
Carrie Johnson started Paia Consulting and is its starting head. She has more than 20 years of experience in sustainability approach, reporting, and ecological matters. Corrado Forcellati, Paia Consulting’s supervising director from 2021, assists firms in Singapore and Southeast Asia include sustainability within their company procedures.

On August 1, CBRE announced that it has gotten Paia Consulting, a Singapore-based sustainability advising business. The procurement is side of the New York Stock Exchange-listed international property services company’s growth of its sustainability advising organization in Asia Pacific.
Supporting the acquisition, the business will be relabelled Paia from CBRE, and the staff will be incorporated with CBRE’s existing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consulting and sustainability services team. Johnson will be the top expert following the merged entity, while Forcellati is going to be the new director of customer sustainability strategy and services.
Moray Armstrong, handling supervisor of CBRE Singapore, says the arrival of Paia’s capabilities will set CBRE at the forefront of ESG advisory in Singapore and across Asia Pacific. “Our specialists are going to partner with customers on reporting, certification, compliance, benchmarking, establishing, and carrying out ESG plans. CBRE will positively affect the constructed atmosphere.”
